the weight you don’t have to carry.

sometimes we carry things that were never ours to begin with.
expectations we did not create, pressures we never agreed to, burdens passed down quietly from generation to generation.
we carry responsibility for other people's feelings.
we carry guilt for saying no.
we carry shame for being human, for struggling, for needing rest.

but not everything you carry belongs to you.
not every sadness is your sadness to heal.
not every weight is your weight to bear.

healing begins when you start to sort through what you have been carrying.
when you begin to ask,
does this belong to me?
is this mine to hold?

you have a right to put down what is not yours.
you have a right to move freely in your own life.
you have a right to be at peace.

you do not have to carry everything.
you never did.
